Junior, Open and Masters Records
These records originated from the senior and masters side of the club.
The following rules apply:
- An Athlete must be a member of the Manly Warringah Athletics at the time of establishing a new Club Record.
- The Club Results & Records Officer ensures all Club Records are kept up to date by monitoring results from Competitions and Championship events throughout the year. This process is not infallible – and the NSW All Schools are particularly difficult to monitor, at this stage.
- For the purpose of a record, an athlete’s age is their age at 31st December of the relevant year in which the performance was recorded. This is to align with Australian Athletics and NSW Athletics record requirements.
- If an Athlete considers that they have broken a Club Record then the athlete should lodge a request with the Club to have that record ratified as a Club Record.
- If Athletes, Coaches and Officials consider that a new category of record should be created, please contact the Club Results & Records Manager.
- To seek ratification of a record or to have a new category of record established pleae email opens02@manlyathletics.org.au
The following competitions, championships and their associated events will be considered relevant for establishing/breaking Club records:
- World Athletics sanctioned
- Athletics Australia sanctioned
- Athletics NSW (or equivalent other states) sanctioned
- NSW All Schools and Australian All Schools Championships
